We at DR Moore Constructions Pty Ltd, are very passionate about the Design & Build service of our business. We believe it is a more efficient & simplified working model. Our team are there for you through every step, from concept and initial design through to building approvals, certification and build. We carefully select architects, building designers and engineers to suit the project at hand and then the team of specialists works to tailor each project to your requirements and budget.

Design and Build Process

1. Consultation

Initial, free consultation and is used to develop an understanding of your ideas, wants, needs, and budget.

2. Concept Design

At this point we develop a design concept based on the information supplied at the consultation including a budget estimate and floor plan. Some additional fine turning of the design may be required at this stage.

3. Construction Plans

After final signoff of the design, we have the plans drawn for building approval, including engineering and other consultancy fees required. At this time we provide a fixed price quote for the project build.

4. Building Approval & Contract

Once all plans and documentation are received, we draw up a contract for the build and submit the plans and documentation to council for building approval.

5. Construction

Let’s build! We like to keep an open communication dialogue at all times and aim to keep you up to date throughout the entire build by having regular onsite meetings to review all critical stages of the build.

6. Handover

Upon Practical Completion we conduct a final walkthrough where we sign off on any minor defects. Once final payment is made the project keys are handed over, then you can pop the bubbly and celebrate.

A Design & Build Project. The client approached DR Moore Constructions to help them design and build their family home. After meeting to discuss their budget and ideas, we proposed a design which soon became the house it is today. The home features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, media room and a family room spill out area off the bedrooms. The magnificent kitchen, complete with butlers pantry and bar, open into the living and adjoining alfresco area, making up the ultimate space for entertaining guests.

The owner wanted to modernise a tired brick veneer and enjoy coastal living. Glass windows and doors opening on to an upper and lower deck allow the client to maximise the beautiful views up & down the coast.

Modernisation and restoration of a 1929 federation home.

The owners wanted to maintain a traditional look to the external & internal home while incorporating modern features for 21st century living. The project consisted of raising of the house to incorporated 2700mm high ceiling underneath and shifting the house 1.5m across the lot to allow for better access to the rear of the property.

The house was transformed from a 200sqm home to a 560sqm 6 bed, 3 bathroom, family manor.

The home is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. It boasts 3 good sized bedrooms plus study, rumpus and covered outdoor patio.

Open plan living was a key requirement and the large kitchen and dining area which open onto the patio and rumpus adheres to the clients requests and relaxed family atmosphere.

DR Moore Constructions Pty Ltd transformed a very tired and run down Post War home into a modern yet traditional 3 bedroom private residence.

The project consisted of the reconfiguration of the internal layout; addition of a wrap around verandah including a 6m x 6m outdoor entertaining area with double car accommodation located underneath.
